Our Story

It started with a dream.

In 2018, we purchased a small 1850's  farmhouse in Farmington, New Hampshire.  We had a toddler, a dog, and a dream.  We inherited with the house an old barn, 5 chickens, and 3 acres of very wild and overgrown land.

Long before that, though, the vision of a flower farm had evolved from a lifelong passion for growing and arranging flowers.   I have always been drawn to event planning and floral design.  I was the one that friends and neighbors would come to for wedding and party planning advice.  My husband had long been a gardener and horticulturist.  Together, we would dream about growing and selling flowers and creating environments which people find both beautiful and alluring.

As we walked the property that first day, the dream took root.

Since that autumn day so many years ago, many couples and individuals have reached out wanting floral designs from a local farmer using sustainable methods.  It fills our hearts to know that people find beauty in our designs, appreciate our methods, and trust us with their life moments and memories.

We have come to love working with clients: the fiancé wanting that perfect spot for an engagement photo, the couple beginning their life together, the family celebrating a birth or anniversary, even those mourning the loss of someone special.  We are honored to listen to each story, the emotion, the plans, the details that make up each event's heartfelt tale.

Even with multiple seasons and countless events on the books, we look forward anew to each new season, each new story, each new friend and client who will share in what makes SG Events such a beautiful and special company.
